Three calculators we use in real client conversations. No sign-up, no email required, nothing stored — the numbers stay in your browser.

Why these three

Three numbers most owners cannot answer

Almost every conversation we have about marketing budget stalls in the same place. The owner knows roughly what they spend and roughly what comes in, but cannot say what one enquiry is worth, what a sensible budget would be, or whether their website is the thing holding everything back.

Without those three, every decision after them is a guess. "Six hundred a month for Google Ads" is either obviously right or obviously wrong once you know a customer is worth $2,000 in margin and one in four enquiries closes — and completely unjudgeable until you do.

These calculators exist because we got tired of doing the same arithmetic on a notepad in first meetings. They are the same arithmetic, done properly, with the reasoning written out underneath so you can argue with the assumptions rather than take them on trust.

How to use them together

  • Start with the enquiry value calculator. It gives you the ceiling — the most an enquiry can cost before it stops being profitable.
  • Then run the budget planner. It gives you a defensible starting range and a split across channels.
  • Then score your website. If it scores badly, the budget from step two should go into fixing it before any of it goes into advertising.

What they cannot tell you

None of them know your market. Two identical businesses in different cities can face costs per click that differ threefold, because the price is set by whoever else is bidding. None of them know your capacity, either — a brilliant cost per enquiry is worthless if you cannot deliver the work.

And none of them replace looking at your actual accounts. They produce a considered starting point, which is a long way ahead of a guess and a long way short of a diagnosis.
