A site can have excellent content and still not rank, because search engines cannot crawl it, because half the pages are duplicated, or because it takes eight seconds to load on a phone on mobile data.

Technical SEO is unglamorous and often the fastest win available on an older site, particularly one that has been extended repeatedly by different people over several years.

What the work covers
