What this usually costs

Shopping and catalogue advertising is unusual in that it scales fairly smoothly — you can start at $800–$1,500 a month and increase it in proportion to return rather than in leaps. The constraint is usually product data quality, not budget.

For a showroom business, treat the website as a pre-visit tool. A customer who walks in already knowing the model, the price and the dimensions closes far faster than one starting from scratch, and that value never appears in an online ROAS figure.

We sell mostly in store. Is online advertising worth it?

Usually yes, but measured differently. The goal is a walk-in who already knows what they want. We track directions requests, calls and store-visit signals rather than judging everything on online checkout.

How much product detail is enough?

Enough that a customer does not have to phone to ask. Dimensions, materials, warranty, availability, and what is in the box. This is also what makes a page rankable.

Should we discount to compete?

Discounting is the fastest way to win a sale and the fastest way to lose a margin. We would rather test bundles, delivery inclusions and financing before cutting price.

How far ahead should a sale be planned?

Six weeks. The page needs to exist and be indexed, the feed needs the sale price, and the audience needs warming. A sale announced two days out reaches only your existing list.

What about marketplaces?

They are a distribution channel, not a marketing strategy. Sell there if the margin works, but the customer relationship and the data stay with the marketplace.
